Question: How long has PSD been in the software industry?
Answer: The company was established as a software and training consultancy in 1989.

Question: Will the CIMSO ERP Software Suite be suitable for my business?
Answer: ClientManager, the standard CRM and management module in the suite is suitable for just about 99% of small to medium sized business. The other modules in the CIMSO ERP Suite are specifically aimed at the Services and Hospitality Industries and you simply select the modules you need - they integrate into a single application.

Question: I have a very unusual business and need a tailor-made package.
Answer: Our software already handles an astonishingly diverse array of business requirements - from scheduling guided elephant rides, to selling TV licenses; from scheduling spa treatments for people with heart conditions to selling paint and arranging for chocolate to be put in a hotel room. In the unlikely event that we do not have an existing module for you, please let us know what you require.

Question: What makes the CIMSO Software better than the products offered by competitors?
Answer:

  1. The CIMSO ERP Suite was developed as a client-centric system, while most other options available are transaction-centric. We make it easier and faster to manage the needs of a customer who requires multiple services simultaneously.
  2. The CIMSO ERP Suite runs as a single, integrated application. You won't even need an external word processor to type letters as it integrates Open Office.
  3. Our licensing fees are reasonable and scalable - determined by the size of your business. We do not cripple our software to create an artificially smaller and cheaper product. Whether your business needs one or one hundred workstations, you will have all the functionality of your chosen modules available to you.
  4. Using our proprietary synchronization module, the CIMSO ERP Suite offers true real-time updating of all information between different sites.

Question: How much does it cost?
Answer: An initial setup and installation fee is required, which will be determined by the size of the database and the number of concurrent users you require. You will only pay for the facilities that you actually require. Additional licences may be purchased at any time. A monthly support and maintenance fee is calculated as a percentage of the base licence costs.

Question: What support do you offer?
Answer: We offer

  1. telephone, fax and e-mail support,
  2. 24/7 emergency helpline support,
  3. on-site support, should you wish to have an engineer at your site (at special hourly and travel rates)
  4. all upgrades to the software.

Question: Do you train my staff?
Answer: Yes, when you purchase our products we will make sure that you know how to use it! The quotations we prepare are in full detail and will include full provision for staff training.

Question: Am I able to transfer information from my old database/software to use with the CIMSO suite?
Answer: Yes, the CIMSO Suite offers import tools for client profiles and stock lists.

Question: How much do my staff need to know about bookkeeping to use the financial modules in the Suite?
Answer : Because the double entry accounting process can be hard to understand, we have broken down the business process into uniquely and descriptively named "transactions" and standard operating procedures (SOP's). All your staff need is to learn and to record transactions and follow the SOP's - the software will complete the rest. A large number of standard reports can be generated automatically. User-defined, custom reports can be set up to be generated as required. The accounting procedures used in the CIMSO ERP suite is strictly GAAP/IFRS compliant.

Question: What hardware is required to run the CIMSO ERP Suite?
Answer: We do not require specific brands of hardware. You may use generic, generally available hardware, purchased from a supplier that is known to you and geographically close to you. The CIMSO hardware and system specifications can be found on our web page, and will guide your hardware supplier in providing compliant hardware.

Question: I have a resort and I need to interface with third party booking systems. Do you support this?
Answer: Yes, the CIMSO ERP Suite is able to interface to various third party booking systems available on the ADS (Alternative Distribution Systems) internet platform. Please Contact Us for more information.

Question: I manage a hotel and I need to interface to card keys for keyless door locks and and access to lifts. Do you support this?
Answer: Yes, the CIMSO ERP Suite interfaces to many third party devices using the COMTROL interface. Please Contact Us for more information.
